NEFERTITI book trailer

For authors passing through and wondering about the value of book trailors, I'll state my observations. I've noticed authors have discussed this around the Blogosphere.

Book Trailors do not seem to sell books to the readers I know, if they've had no previous exposure to the book. The readers I know are NOT impulse buyers. We tell each other about books we love and discuss them. After being reassured by our friends and Blog Buddies, then we may buy those books.

The value I've seen in Book Trailers is with books we already know about. It makes sharing what we know more fun. The more fun we have the more we talk about it. The more we talk about it, the more people passing through our blogs learn about your books.

Thanks for posting the trailer, Kimberly!!! I agree with your assessment on book trailers. Unless bloggers are sharing the video, most trailers are really just "eye candy" on an author website, kind of like blurbs.

I suppose an author must assess if her web presence is such that her book trailer will get passed around a lot and is, therefore, worth the money she spends on it.

Thanks for popping in, Gwyneth and Michelle!
