I'm so happy to announce the first winner of the Cyber-Launch Book Party drawing - Laurie! http://spacefreighters.blogspot.com/ This planetoid is her avatar.
.Laurie has been a Crunchy Critter of mine for almost two years. Has it really been that long? She critted all of STAR CAPTAINS' DAUGHTER and part of THE HOLY BENNU. I like to take credit for introducing her to Linnea's books, but now I can't remember if I really did. Did I, Laurie?
.By the way, Linnea's sending me the autographed copy of DOWN HOME ZOMBIE BLUES like I wanted. Ain't she sweet?

Hey, I'm very excited to be a winner. Yahoo! Thanks so much, Kimber An and Linnea.
Yes, Kimber, that was you who introduced me to Linnea's books. *beams* I've read them all now except for ACCIDENTAL GODDESS, which is on my TBR list. Star Captain's Daughter was one of the first novels I critiqued on CC. As you know, I loved your story. I was a charter member of the Captain Delano Fan Club, too. :::smirk:::
Thanks again. Fabulous Cyber-Party. Oh, Drea and I just sent you some help for the clean-up phase. :)
Kimber clasps hands to heart. I really have done my part to build the ranks of Science Fiction Romance! Brings a tear to me eye.
We had a lot of fun critting Star Captains' Daughter. I was critting DRAXIS at the same time. How is Katrina doing these days, hmm? You keep promising a Final Polish on her story and still I hear nothing on the Crunchy Critter front.
I hope you'll be around to crit MANIC KNIGHT after the New Year. Angelica still needs a lot of work. It's a Time Travel/Historical and I've got serious research to do. I don't want it to be a cheesy Hollywood historical. I want to be Diana Gabaldon's kid sister.
Hey! Do you suppose if we ever publish we can call ourselves Linnea Sinclair's kid sisters?
In case any of you aspiring authors are wondering what I'm babbling about, pop over to Critique Circle and round up some Crunchy Critters of your own. www.critiquecircle.com
;)
I mean, if we publish our own Science Fiction Romance, maybe we can call ourselves Linnea Sinclair's kid sisters. Of course, she's not the only one in that sub-genre who's encouraged and/or advised me. Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Susan Grant have been awesome too.
:o)
LOL, Kimber. We could call ourselves Linnea's kid sisters (et al), but I have a hunch I'm older than she is. ;)
Yes, I see how that could make it weird. I have no idea how old anyone is. I'm thirtysomething, I think.
Congrats on the win, Laurie, and thanks, Kimber An, for a fun and and lively party. My alter ego and I both had a blast. He said for me to ask if you needed any help spackling bullet holes. ;-)
I hope your stories gets pub'd. Just from what little I've seen of the characters, I'm dying to read them -- Linnea's finders Keepers was my first foray into SFR and now I'm hooked for life.
Thanks, David.
I was a little worried about Junior. She was showing her trickster side. She really is a good girl. Really. ADHD, yanno. It's a good thing her mother's a star captain. She'd run roughshod over anyone else.
Angelica, well, she's not a fully realized character yet, though she'd argue the point. She's a Cadet Third Class at the Air Force Academy and I know nothing about that. So, I still have a lot of research to do before she comes together. Shhh! Don't tell her I said that.
I think ACCIDENTAL GODDESS was my first Linnea Sinclair book. But, I was hooked on Science Fiction Romance first by STAR KING by Susan Grant. I followed her to Linnea and then Linnea to Jacqueline Lichtenberg.
I know you're working on stories too, David. Just keeping going! Keep writing, learning, polishing, and submitting. If you stop, you surely won't reach your goal. But, if you keep going, you just might.
;)
